I test the result before I believe it.

Computer science graduate doing empirical research on markets: distributional forecasting with generative models, and equity risk models built on random matrix theory. Production experience in quantitative technology at Man Group, plus applied security work building retrieval pipelines. I care most about whether a result holds up under testing, which is how I found and corrected an implementation error in a published reference codebase that had understated its reported Sharpe ratios.

Overview

I build systems and probe them to understand how they break. Most of that work is quantitative: forecasting return distributions, filtering covariance matrices, and asking whether a backtest is measuring signal or noise. The same instinct shows up in my security work, where I built retrieval pipelines and studied how they fail. Start with the research if you want to see how I think.
